The Ballston Arts and Crafts Fair was awesome this weekend! I saw a lot of Paper-Lovers who were interested in our new memo boards as well as our card-making classes. Our booth even got some publicity! Check out this website: http://ballstonarts-craftsmarket.blogspot.com/ and scroll down to see a picture of the Love My Paper booth! We’ll be back at the fair in August and October – hope to see you there!

Just a quick update – I am extremely excited to be a vendor at the Ballston Arts & Crafts Market this summer! This craft fair is outdoors in Welburn Square, right next to the Ballston Metro Station. It’s a great area with lots of activity, and we will have live music and lots of amazing crafts for sale. The Ballston Arts & Crafts Market takes place every second Saturday from May through October. I’ll be there this coming Sat (June 13), as well as August 8 and October 10. Stop by and say hi! (More info about the Ballston Arts & Crafts Market is on my homepage in the Upcoming Events section.)
I hope to see you this summer, and until then – thanks for Loving My Paper!

Okay – it has officially been WAY too long since I’ve posted on my blog. Guess that’s what I get for starting a new job in October
I’ve been busy with work, but I’ve also been scrappin’ away and creating lots of new products and classes for Love My Paper. I’ve recently begun teaching Scrapbooking for Beginners – and if you have been thinking about learning how to scrap, this is the class for you! I’ve also created a bunch of new cards that you can learn how to make in the Crazy for Cards class. My parents bought me a Cricut Expression for my birthday, and let me tell you – it is life-changing! I think I am in love with my Cricut (sorry, Matt)!
Okay, well thanks for reading, and thanks for hanging in there with me since I’ve been so busy. And of course, as always, thanks for Loving My Paper.

Hi everyone! Today I had my first Fiskars product demo at A.C. Moore in Fairfax, VA. I demonstrated the Fiskars Ultra ShapeXpress cutting tool and some Fiskars border punches. A few people actually bought the whole starter kit (which was conveniently on a GREAT sale) thanks to my demo! I definitely want to do more Fiskars product demos and start to get my class enrollment up at A.C. Moore. I’m going to keep working hard on my classes and demos, and I know my work will pay off in the end! I’m really looking forward to Art on the Avenue next week. I’ll be in booth 27W. I am crossing my fingers for good weather since the fair is outside, and I don’t have a tent!
I got a lot of crafting (and organization of crafting supplies) done today, so I’m feeling productive. Tomorrow I am going to work on some new autumn-themed memo boards and note pads in preparation for my upcoming craft fairs. I also recently came up with a new idea for a class. I will be teaching how to make altered wooden mirrors (see photo below). This class features the Fiskars border and circle-border punches, which are amazing!
Alright, I’m off to bed. Hope everyone’s enjoying the weekend, and as always, thanks for Loving My Paper!

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you all know that I am working with Fiskars (the company that makes all the amazing scissors and other awesome craft products!) to do product demos and classes. I am a “Fiskateer” and also a “Certified Fiskars Demonstrator”. I went through the training, and I am officially Fiskateer #3821. The classes I am teaching at A.C. Moore in Sept. are Fiskars classes, and the product I will be featuring in the classes is the Fiskars Ultra Shape Cutter Xpress (which is AWESOME, by the way!) I hope that this Fiskars gig can open up the door to more teaching and demos for me! Yay Fiskars! Thanks for Loving My Paper

Well, after a few months of taking a hiatus to figure out my career plans, I am back in action with Love My Paper! Lots of exciting things are on the horizon, including a lot of new classes and three craft fairs this fall. I am excited to be a certified demonstrator (a “Fiskateer”!!!) for Fiskars, which means I am able to teach classes and do project demos using lots of awesome Fiskars projects. I will be teaching a great 2-page layout class at the A.C. Moore store in Fairfax, VA this September. I am also now certified to teach Adult and Community Education classes in Fairfax County, and I’ll be teaching some Holiday Card workshops this fall in a high school in Burke, VA. I hope you can check out some of these classes if you are local! See the Classes tab for more info on these classes and workshops. Love My Paper is also going to be at three craft fairs in the upcoming months in Alexandria and Falls Church. I hope you can stop by and see all of our new products! I’ve been working hard and having fun while doing it!
Hope to see you at some upcoming classes and craft fairs – thanks again for Loving My Paper!

Lots of people loved our products, and we definitely generated some interest in the classes and even the birthday parties. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and checked out our booth at the Fredericksburg Arts & Craft Faire. We will let you know when our next fair is! Check the website for product updates in the next couple of days, and as always, thanks for Loving My Paper!

Hi Paper Lovers! Just a quick update – our first day of being a vendor was a success! Some products sold, but even more importantly, tons of people took our business cards and fliers. Lots of people commented on how beautiful and creative my products are (which was a huge confidence builder for me!) and several people expressed interest in taking my classes. One girl even wants me to make the invitations for her Quinsinera (a Mexican “Sweet Sixteen” style party.) I am very happy to have gotten a chance for some exposure, and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Stop by if you are in the Fredericksburg area; the faire is from 11 AM – 5 PM tomorrow.
